05.06.04 - 5:16 p.m. Okay, so I just wanted to comment on those Iraqi prisoner photos that are circulating. I’m not going into how I feel about this on a humanity level, because needless to say once again I am embarrassed to call my self American…or Human for that matter on a lot of occasions. What I do want to bring up is good ‘ol Prezzy says he abhors the acts portrayed in the photos. First, off I am pretty sure he just learned the word ‘abhor’, but that is beside the point. He also stated that this administration is against such acts of cruelty. Well, that’s good to know…However, you can’t spend years de-humanizing a people, calling them evil, and then not expect your troops to follow your lead and treat these captured soldiers in in-humane ways. I wonder a lot of times if hardcore military folks can even think for themselves anymore. Not that they shouldn’t be held responsible for their actions, but they are a good example of a mob mentality…they do what the mob mind instructs them to do. If the Queen Bee…or President in this case, feeds their brain that they are up against evil, soul-less, beasts then they will treat them as such. I suppose this is how we get them to kill without a second-thought. It’s funny how we choose to demonize some actions and not others. It’s okay when we bomb them out of their homes, but if we strip them naked and pile em up, giving a big thumbs up to the camera…THEN we are in-humane. That’s all I got to say on that…for now.
